Community Corner
Netrix IT is committed to giving back to our community and leads by example. Netrix IT contributes to our community through numerous methods and activities; from donating equipment and services to our community-based not-for-profit partners to volunteering time and services to a struggling education institute. Netrix IT is an involved steward of the environment and is supportive through actions and sponsorships from “Pheasants Forever”, donating cell phones to Womens Shelters to implementing proactive recycling programs for ourselves as well as our customers.
Through the North Metro Chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America, Netrix IT is donating special mesh/flexible gloves to be included in care packs for military personnel.
Netrix IT started sponsoring the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in 2006 with 17 walkers raising money that first year. Our JDRF team has grown to over 70 participants that have raised thousands of dollars for this worthy cause.
The Netrix IT team participated in our third annual JDRF Walk at the Mall of America on January 20, 2008. We had two goals; to have 75 members walking for Team Netrix IT and to raise $5,000.00. Thanks to all of you, we exceeded both goals. In 2008, we made our fundraising efforts more personal by walking for Ryan, a young man from the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Ryan was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2002. He was 5 yrs old & had just started kindergarten. He is energetic in school, sports and a very involved kid. Please contact us if you are interested in joining our team and/or sponsoring JDRF.
